Adriana Paice is an artist, curator and stitcher. For many years she was part of Greyworld a collective of artists, who made BAFTA nominated, large-scale interactive installations in public spaces for The London Stock Exchange, Hampton Court Palace and Channel 4’s The Big Art Project, amongst others. This understanding of public spaces lead her to curate the British Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai with Thomas Heatherwick She has also edited books on design, compiling two editions of Creative Island for Sir John Sorrell and Laurence King Publishers.
Stitching has always been her passion. She now makes interactive embroidered panels that incorporate silk, sensors and sound into a single experience. She has created a new collection of pieces in collaboration with Ri Pierce-Grove a poet who lives and works in New York.
Recently, she has collaborated with Aganovich, an atelier based in Paris hand stitching poetry into the seams, under the collars and in the pleats of their collection. Their collaboration was shown at Paris Fashion Week.
